Honorable Joekai on Thursday, August 28, 2025 during the launched of the much publicize nationwide Personnel Verification and Credential Audit exercise at the Judiciary Branch of Government expressed his institution gratitude to be a part of the ongoing judicial reform process.

For the first time in many years, the Civil Service Agency (CSA), by directive of the Chief Justice of the Honorable Supreme Court of Liberia, His Honor Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay, Sr. has embarked on a nationwide Personnel Verification and Credential Audit exercise at the Judiciary Branch of Government.
The first phase of the exercise was launched by the Chief Justice on Thursday, August 28, 2025 and it is to continue on Thursday, September 4, 2025, beginning with the 1st to the 6th Judicial Circuits for Montserrado County

The Honorable Supreme Court of Liberia, now has a new Court Administrator, his name is Cllr. William B. Kollie, Sr. He was appointed by His Excellency Ambassador Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. President of the Republic of Liberia, on Friday, August 22, 2025.
Cllr. Kollie’s appointment by the President filled in the vacancy created after the honorable retirement of Cllr. Elizabeth J. Nelson, an astute state woman and public servant leader.
The Office of the Court Administrator was created as the administrative arm of the entire court system, with primary objective to organize and manage non-adjudicatory matters under the direction of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia.

LIBERIAN JUDICIARY REACTS TO PUL’S STATEMENT

The Judiciary Branch of Liberia has strongly reacted to a statement issued by the President of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) on August 15, 2025, terming said statement, which accuses the courts in Rivercess County, particularly the Yarpah Town and Cestos City Magisterial Courts, of a “coordinated legal campaign aimed at harassing, intimidating and silencing journalists” in that county as reckless, ill-informed and misguided.
