Liberia’s 27th Chief Justice His Honor Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay, Sr. has officially taken seat as the official spokesperson and administrative head of the Judiciary in a colorful ceremony held at a Special Session of the Honorable Supreme Court on the grounds of the Temple of Justice in Monrovia on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

The attention of the Honorable Supreme Court of Liberia has been drawn to a false, misleading and malicious news article being published by various news media without any of these media institutions endeavoring to ascertain the facts surrounding the enforcement of a court’s judgment from the Judiciary.

Speaking at the start of the four days training, on Monday October 6, 2025, Cllr. Michael Korkpor, Director of the Judiciary’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Accountability department, said the strength of any judicial system does not only lie in the laws that are upheld but also in the trust that the Judiciary earns from the people it serves. And for that trust to be real and lasting, the Judiciary system must demonstrate transparency, fairness and continuous improvement.

Multitude of people mainly Nimbians flocked the Streets of Ganta City, Nimba County to give a heroic and rousing welcome to His Honor Yamie quiqui Gbeisay, Sr. who attained the highest feat of the legal profession by being seated as the Chief Justice of the Honorable Supreme Court of Liberia.
In contemporary Liberia today, the people in a given local have the tendency to show their love, trust, admiration and take dear to their hearts a kinsman who has distinguished himself as a good man and accomplished major achievement.

The Director General of the Civil Service Agency (CSA) Honorable Josiah F. Joekai, Jr. has lavished praises on the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia, His Honor Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay, Sr. for what he described as the Chief Justice exceptional leadership, dedication and commitment to reforming the Judiciary Branch of Government.
Honorable Joekai on Thursday, August 28, 2025 during the launched of the much publicize nationwide Personnel Verification and Credential Audit exercise at the Judiciary Branch of Government expressed his institution gratitude to be a part of the ongoing judicial reform process.
