His Honor, Justice Francis S. Korkpor, Sr., was born in a little village called Zao, Lao Clan, lower Nimba County, in the Republic of Liberia. Due to the fact that there was no school in his home village, Justice Korkpor began his formative years of education in a nearby village called Kpain where he was sent to live with an aunt.
Justice Korkpor then gained admission, as a boarding student, to the St. Mary’s Catholic School in Sanniquellie City where he completed his elementary, junior and senior high school education.
In 1972, Justice Francis S. Korkpor, Sr, enrolled at the University of Liberia in pursuit of higher education where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Sociology in 1976. Read more…..
His Honor Justice Kabineh M. Ja’neh was born in Bahn, Zoe-Geh District, Nimba County, Republic of Liberia. Justice Ja’neh obtained his formative early education at an Islamic teaching school where he was tutored by his father, Karmo Sorie Ja’neh.
He then pursued his high school education at the A.M.E. (African Methodist Episcopal) Zion Academy in Monrovia, where he obtained his High School Diploma, in 1979. Justice Ja’neh immediately commenced his public service career after his high school studies as a “clerk” in the Civil Engineering Department of the National Port Athority, Freeport of Monrovia, whilst at the same time, in pursuit of higher education. His educational quest then took him to the University of Liberia where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Geography in 1987. In the same year, Justice Ja’neh received a Teacher’s Certificate from a Khartoum, Sudan-based Specialized Teacher’s Training Group; a qualification which found Justice Ja’neh part-time in the classrooms of the Muslim Congress High School teaching geography between 1986 – 1988. She was born in Maryland County, Liberia, and has three children: one (1) boy and two (2) girls. She obtained a B.A. Degree in English/Sociology, College of Liberal and Fine Arts in 1981 from the University of Liberia. She received a M.A. Degree in English and Teaching & Production of Drama, School of Drama, in 1985 from the Florida State University, U.S.A. and later received an L.L.B. in Law from the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, University of Liberia in 1988. She served as instructor within the English Department at the University of Liberia from 1981 – 1994, and as Legal Counsel at the Law Offices of Barnes and Johnson; Maxwell and Maxwell Law Offices; Cooper and Togbah; in-house counsel, Liberia Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI), Monrovia, Liberia from 1988-2005. Banks, III obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree (Cum Laude), in Sociology and Economics from the University of Liberia, in 1971 and enrolled into the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, University of Liberia where he earned his LLB degree (Magnum Cum Laude), General Law (with emphasis on business, criminal and constitutional related areas), in 1974.
Justice Banks thereafter gained admission into the Yale Law School, United States of America, where he obtained his LLM degree in Corporations and International Law, graduating with honors in 1976. Her Honor Justice Sie-A-Nyene Gyapay Yuoh was born in Montserrado County, Republic of Liberia. She obtained her high school education and diploma from the St. Teresa’s Convent, a Catholic High School in Monrovia in 1974, thereafter which, she enrolled at the Cuttington University College (CUC), now Cuttington University (CU), in Suakoko, Bong County, in pursuit of her tertiary education where she graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science.
In 1979, Justice Yuoh enrolled at the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, University of Liberia, where she was trained as a lawyer. In 1981, she successfully completed her law studies at this institution and obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and was subsequently admitted into the Liberia National Bar Association as an Attorney-At-Law.
